Yes, this treatment is safe for all skin types suitable for treatment and is non-invasive. At MiSkin, we are experienced, qualified, and are an authorised provider of Dermapen 4 microneedling. All needle tips and consumables are single-use, sterile, and disposable. We take your safety and hygiene seriously.
Microneedling can deliver results similar to that of laser and other similar procedures, but at half the discomfort and price.

Dermapen is excellent for treating a variety of skin concerns and is safe for all skin types. However, some medical conditions and health details are contraindicated from having microneedling. Your health and safety is our top priority, therefore it is important to disclose any and all medical conditions, medications and allergies.
A skin consultation must be booked prior to any microneedling treatment(s) to ensure suitability. You are welcome to get in touch with us if you are unsure if your health condition is suitable/unsuitable.

Mild and minimal downtime can be experienced post microneedling.
Day one: you may experience erythema and a red appearance.
Day two: a red or pink hue persists like a moderate sunburn and light swelling may be noticeable in the morning, but usually subsides as the day goes on.
Day three: your skin may still be slightly pink, but any swelling has usually subsided.
On subsequent days, the skin may feel tight and dry and light peeling may occur for up to one week.
Your normal skincare programme can be resumed after day three with more active products being introduced after day five or when the skin has returned to normal.
Please follow the advice of your skin therapist regarding what homecare skincare and/or preparation is required for your treatment. This helps with achieving best results and little risk of adverse reactions.

No, it is relatively painless and/or discomfort overall is very minimal. This will differ from person to person due to their pain threshold, and for deeper penetration such as scarring this could be a little more uncomfortable.

For muscle relaxants such as Botox, there needs to be a minimum window of two weeks before or after microneedling to avoid adverse reactions and/or interfering with your muscle relaxant.
For Filler, there needs to be a period of four weeks to allow any bruising from filler to settle before microneedling, safety and results of treatment.
